One room, a laminated sign taped to the wall, and a research budget that is mostly coffee. It takes your silly question seriously, because somebody has to.
Could you outsmart every sensor in public? Could you prove the fantasy schedule robbed you? Everyday systems you suspect are out to get you.
He never says no. He says "Technically, possible." Then he tells you what it costs, with the working on the whiteboard.
A real attempt on a real system, and then a stranger, truer story about somebody who actually pulled it off.

Willing. Gives a thumbs up before he has heard the question, and regrets it about halfway through. Barely speaks. Always number four.
Works here. Is not in charge of anything. Never angry, never excited, never puts the mug down. He has seen your question before.
Asks the plain question about what he can see. "Why are you late?" Never gets a real answer. Also runs the fantasy league, and is somehow 4-0.
Whatever Volunteer Four wears for the experiment, he wears for the rest of the day. Nothing resets.
